Whole School Cross Country

Congratulations to all competitors.

It was fantastic to see everyone in their houes colours supporting their team as well as all of you that made instruments and shakers to cheer on the athletes as they ran by.

Special congratulations to all medal winners. 

Race Distances

Juniors - 600 meters

Middle School - 1000 meters

Senior School - meters

Please note this was not a selection race for our zone cross country.  The zone cross country was in week one of term 2 at Burnside Park.  We held a trial for senior students at the end of term 1 to select our zone runners.

Well done to Ian Souness who really improved on his result from term 1.  Exceptional running by Aftza Rafeeq who was leading the year 6 girls race, until she made a wrong turn and ran some extra distance, and finished in second place.

 

An incredible effort by Issac Heap and Ammar Mohommad who ran the longer course with the year five boys and came second and third after Luka Philips.
